Beginning 8/26/13 the shuttle bus will make one stop on campus, on 3rd Street in front of the Campus Center. After 8:00pm, one bus will stop there the other bus will stop on 5th Street, under the Law Bridge. The shuttle will run Mondays to Thursdays 7am – 11pm and Fridays 7am – 5pm. Call Police Dispatch at 856.225.6009 for a Safety Escort if you need to return to your vehicle after the shuttle stops running.
NOTE: In accordance with NJDMV regulations, passengers must be 16 years of age or older to board the shuttle buses during K-12 school hours.
Field Trip Services
Transportation Services may provide a driver and a bus or van for university-related field trips if requested by faculty or staff. Buses are operated by licensed CDL drivers. Your request should be made at least two weeks in advance and should include the following information:
Date of the trip, number of passengers, time and location of pick-up, destination (with address if available), and time to leave for return to campus.
Transportation costs vary but are billed with a one-hour minimum, plus tolls. Additional time is billed in half-hour increments. For a quote and to schedule a trip, please complete this form: http://events.camden.rutgers.edu/shuttle-service-event-request-form.
For estimating purposes, the most a trip will cost is $60 per hour for the duration of the trip (plus tolls).
If our department cannot accommodate, Rutgers has a Corporate Account with Enterprise Rentals in Pennsauken (856) 910-1550. They offer 12 and 15 passenger vans for a daily rate of $100 plus tax.
